Hackfort started in 2014 as a small gathering of tech aficionados within the larger Treefort Music Fest. Over the years, it has grown into an integral part of the festival, reflecting Boise’s growing reputation as a tech-savvy city. Each edition of Hackfort is a testament to our commitment to fostering a community where technology and creativity meet.

Mission
Hackfort’s mission is to democratize technology and tech culture by offering opportunities to learn, connect, and engage with the fun side of tech while also pushing tech boundaries, all to make a positive difference within our community. Treefort Music Fest is the first music festival to become a B-corp. Hackfort is not profit-motivated, we’re community-motivated and mission-driven.
